1936 Foundation of Obipektin AG in Bischofszell,
beginning of pectin production
1960 Beginning of fruit and vegetable powders production
using vacuum and drum drying technology in Bischofszell

beginning of spray drying fruit and vegetable powders
1973 Takeover of Unitroc AG based in Burgdorf by
Spreda

1983 Majority takeover of Spreda’s capital shares
by Obipektin AG
2000 Takeover of Obipektin AG with both production sites
by the English Braes Group based in London,
changeover of the name Spreda AG to Obipektin AG Burgdorf
2005 The human foods division of the Braes Group, Obipektin AG and Overseal Foods Ltd, was acquired by Natraceutical in July 2005.
Overseal, Obipektin and Natraceutical are part of the Natraceutical Group.
